Following the successful exchanges in 2011 and 2014, the St. Joris Kamerkoor and the Chamber Choir Glasgow are performing together again this spring with concerts in the Netherlands and Scotland. In March, the Glasgow Chamber Choir will travel to Amersfoort and in May the St. Joris Kamerkoor to Glasgow.

On March 26, both choirs are perofmring in Oosterkerk, Grote Oost 58-60 in Hoorn. The concert is a slightly shortened version of the concert on Saturday March 25 in Amersfoort, without orchestra, but using the Bätz monumental organ in the Oosterkerk. The program has been slightly adjusted.

– Franz Liszt (1811-1886):

from: oratorio “Christ”: Pater Noster (1871), a cappella

– Charles Hubert Parry (1848-1918):

Blest pair of Sirens  (1887), choir and organ

– H Erbert Howells (1892-1983):

Take him, earth, for cherishing  (1963), a cappella
